Judging Criteria

Entries are judged by a distinguished panel of industry professionals using criteria based on the effectiveness of the displays in increasing sales, securing retail placements and working strategically to position the brand at the point-of-purchase.

Judges for 2013 included P-O-P professionals from the following companies:

Judging is done on-line initially with judges reviewing photographs/videos and case studies against the set criteria. Judges then meet for a full day to review and discuss each category and decide upon the final winning displays. Judges do not know which companies have designed, manufactured or submitted entries.

All entries are judged against the following criteria:
  • Marketing objectives and strategies
  • Quality of the case history
  • Design
  • Construction
  • Creativity
  • Use of retail space
  • Branding
  • Communicative value
  • Ability to drive sales or meet the objectives set by the client in the brief
  • Any other factor the judges determine that make the display stand out against the others in the same category
