Physical retail could thrive with a tech makeover

Much has been said about the death of retail but physical outlets could in fact be more than important they are currently with the advent of 'connected stores' and chief experience officers, according to new research.

Professional services network PwC says while physical stores will continue to be a crucial element of the retail mix in the future, they'll need to evolve to provide a more integrated online to offline experience.

PwC’s Global Retail leader Stuart Harker said 'connected stores' will provide a transition point between the offline and online worlds.
